Job summary

Lumen seeks a Lead Information Security Engineer (ISSO) to own RMF execution and ATO outcomes for assigned systems. You will drive PQC strategy, assess cryptographic environments, and ensure alignment with NIST standards and federal requirements.

You will develop SSPs, POA&Ms, inventories, and evidence, while coordinating with engineering teams on remediation and modern cryptography initiatives to advance quantum-resilient security across government and enterprise environments.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in cybersecurity or information assurance with RMF and ATO experience.
• Knowledge of NIST RMF (SP 800-37) and SP 800-53.
• Experience with cryptographic inventories, PKI, and encryption tech.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary ISSO for assigned systems and own RMF end-to-end.
• Lead PQC capabilities integration within customer environments and align with federal guidance.
• Execute full RMF lifecycle: categorization, controls, assessment readiness, authorization, continuous monitoring.
• Develop and maintain authorization artifacts (SSPs, POA&M) and cryptographic inventories.
• Assess cryptographic architectures and risks in PKI, crypto systems, and certificate ecosystems.
• Support cryptographic modernization, including PQC transition plans and roadmaps.
• Evaluate emerging tech for security, compliance, and quantum readiness.
• Collaborate with engineering and operations to remediate vulnerabilities and gaps.
