Job summary

Eliassen Group is seeking a Lead Information Security Engineer for a remote contract role. You will implement and operate an LLM-based code vulnerability detection capability, build evaluation harnesses, and integrate scanning pipelines with GitHub/Jenkins on ECS via Terraform.

The role includes 24/7 rotating coverage and ongoing patching and feature work, with a focus on security operations and telemetry delivery.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of related engineering experience in information security or software development.
• Exposure to AWS Bedrock or similar hosted LLM platforms with model invocation.
• Infrastructure as Code experience and Terraform module work.
• CI/CD pipelines experience, preferably Jenkins, integrated with GitHub.
• Familiarity with application security concepts and SAST/SCA tooling.
• Clear written and verbal communication of status, risks, and blockers.
• Willingness to work a rotating 24/7 shift, including nights and weekends.
• Ability to work independently during off-hours with limited supervision.
• Eligible to work in the US without sponsorship now or in the future.
• Preferred: AWS IAM, ECS, service-to-service authentication, and Bedrock tuning.

Responsibilities

• Implement and operate an LLM-based code vulnerability detection capability on AWS Bedrock.
• Build and maintain an evaluation harness to measure scanner quality over time.
• Create scanning pipelines with GitHub and Jenkins, deployed to ECS and Terraform-managed.
• Deliver telemetry to Splunk and build dashboards for health, coverage, and throughput.
• Engineer solutions aligned to software development best practices.
• Design, test, and implement Story/Feature-level solutions within existing architecture.
• Contribute to standards, runbooks, and guidelines for InfoSec operations.
• Provide ongoing patching and defect resolution after go-live.
• Participate in a four-person rotating 24/7 shift schedule, averaging 40 hours/week.
• Monitor scanner health and alert queues; execute runbooks and handoffs.
