AES Corporation is seeking a Lead HV CAD Designer to support high voltage substation and transmission design, with 75% HV work and 25% PV/BESS land development. The role demands strong drafting skills, familiarity with AutoCAD/Bluebeam, and collaboration with HV Project Engineers, Substation Leads, and cross-functional teams.

We require an associate degree or higher in CAD/Drafting, 8+ years of drafting/design experience in HV contexts, and a proactive, detail-oriented mindset.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in high voltage substation and transmission CAD design.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Bluebeam and related drafting tools.
• Bachelor-level or higher education in CAD/Drafting or related field preferred.

Responsabilités

• Develop up to 30% substation packages in AutoCAD/Bluebeam for 35kV–500kV facilities.
• Prepare technical exhibits for transmission line engineering.
• Support PV and BESS land development designs including site plans and single line diagrams.
• Collaborate with HV Project Engineers, Substation Leads, and other teams to support project development.
