Job summary

Oddball is seeking a Lead Front End Engineer to lead the frontend of a healthcare-focused CMS BDAMAX product. You will design and build a high-impact application using TypeScript and React, serving millions of beneficiaries.

You'll steer frontend architecture, foster code quality, and embed accessibility standards (WCAG/Section 508) while mentoring engineers and collaborating with backend teams. This is a fully remote role with government stakeholders in the US.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of frontend engineering with TypeScript and React.
• Experience leading frontend teams, code reviews, architecture decisions.
• Strong web accessibility knowledge (WCAG/Section 508).
• Proven test-first approach for reliable software.
• Familiar with AI coding tools in development workflow.
• Collaborates with backend engineers on REST APIs.
• Remote agile environment with government stakeholders.
• Excellent communication in team reviews and planning.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and iterate a healthcare app using TypeScript and React.
• Anchor frontend architecture, review PRs, promote quality.
• Drive a test-first development approach for reliability.
• Embed WCAG and 508 accessibility in the product.
