Job summary

UpDoc, Inc. is seeking a talented frontend engineer to help build patient and provider web apps in a fully remote US-based role. You’ll work with TypeScript, SvelteKit, and Tailwind to deliver responsive, accessible interfaces across web and PWAs.

Collaborate with designers and backend engineers, integrate health data sources, and ensure strong UX, reliability, and security. Prior experience with EHR or HIPAA-conscious projects is a plus.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience with TypeScript and web development.
• 4+ years working with Svelte or similar component-based frameworks.
• Strong proficiency in Svelte and SvelteKit.
• High proficiency with Tailwind CSS.
• Familiarity with CapacitorJS.
• Familiarity with Kotlin and Swift.

Responsibilities

• Help build and maintain patient and provider-facing apps using SvelteKit, Tailwind, and TypeScript
• Develop progressive web apps that run across Android and iOS
• Extend PWAs with Kotlin and Swift native code plugins to access local device APIs
• Implement integrations with health data sources, including CGMs and Apple HealthKit
• Collaborate with backend engineers to design and consume APIs, ensuring reliable and secure data flows
• Work closely with designers to translate prototypes into accessible, performant interfaces
• Partner with clinical experts to validate functionality and ensure patient safety
