Job summary

Birlasoft is seeking a skilled Front-end Test Automation Engineer to design, implement, and maintain Cypress-based tests for React applications. You will work in a remote-first environment, collaborate with developers, QA, and product teams, and help improve test reliability across CI/CD pipelines.

Qualifications

• Experience testing React applications with Cypress.
• BDD/Gherkin experience with Cypress cucumber preprocessor.
• API testing for REST/GraphQL: cy.request and Postman.
• CI/CD pipeline integration (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, CircleCI) with parallelization and reporting.
• Solid understanding of test design techniques to reduce flakiness.
• Expertise in Cypress intercept/mocking and network conditioning.
• Git proficiency and Agile/Scrum collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain Cypress automation for React apps (TypeScript).
• Author Gherkin feature files and step definitions; align tests with acceptance criteria.
• Build and evolve the automation framework and utilities.
• Integrate automation into CI/CD (parallelization, retries, dashboards).
• Perform API testing for frontend endpoints, including auth flows.
• Collaborate with developers, QA, and product to improve testability and triage failures.
• Track coverage and risk; propose automation strategies to maximize impact.
