Escape Velocity Entertainment is a fully remote studio seeking a Game Designer to create and implement gameplay mechanics across the game, balancing fun and challenge. You will collaborate with designers, artists, engineers, and directors to realize the game's vision.

The role requires 3+ years in multiplayer or live service games, at least one shipped AAA title, and expert scripting with Unreal Engine UE5. Strong math, communication, and creative problem-solving are essential.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience on multiplayer or live service games.
• At least one shipped AAA title.
• Expert knowledge of game scripting and Unreal Engine (UE5 preferred).
• Vector math skills.
• A passion for competitive gaming, with professional understanding of current multiplayer action games.
• Strong creative and technical problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and oversee multiplayer match mechanics and features.
• Collaborate with designers, artists, animators, and engineers to document and implement features in engine.
• Use visual scripting tools to create complex and dynamic gameplay.
• Refine implementations through playtest feedback and live data.
• Work closely with leads and directors to translate the game vision into designs.
