Job summary

Bright Vision Technologies seeks a Backend Systems Engineer to design, build, and operate large-scale backend services powering critical workloads. You will architect core platforms and drive reliability, scalability, and performance.

The role requires 6+ years in backend engineering, expertise in Java/Go/Scala, and hands-on work with distributed systems, Kafka, and cloud platforms. This is a 100% remote, full-time W2 position with sponsorship not offered.

Qualifications

• Six+ years of professional backend engineering experience.
• Strong programming skills in Java, Go, or Scala.
• Deep understanding of distributed systems concepts (consensus, replication, CAP).
• Hands-on experience with Kafka.
• Experience with major cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).

Responsibilities

• Design and implement large-scale distributed backend systems.
• Architect data partitioning, replication, and consistency strategies.
• Build resilient APIs and event-driven services with observability.
• Optimize latency, throughput, and cost with profiling and load testing.
• Lead architecture reviews and trade-off analyses.
• Mentor engineers and drive reliability improvements.
• Document architecture, runbooks, and deployment procedures.
