Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience with Python 3 and Django REST Framework.
• Prior experience mentoring engineers or acting as a tech lead.
• Proven experience designing and maintaining production-grade REST APIs.
• Strong experience with PostgreSQL in production environments.
• Experience with Celery or equivalent.
• Familiarity with Docker Compose and modern CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with monitoring tools like Sentry, Datadog, and Grafana.

Responsibilities

• Lead backend development for product team alignment.
• Translate product objectives into technical plans.
• Build and maintain scalable Django REST applications.
• Oversee background task processing with Celery.
• Contribute to architecture design for performance.
• Mentor engineers through code reviews.
• Partner with cross-functional teams for reliable features.
• Implement strong engineering practices including TDD.
• Monitor and optimize systems using observability tools.
• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks.
