Job summary

Bright Vision Technologies is seeking a Lead Backend Engineer for a 100% remote role in the U.S. You will design, build, and operate large-scale backend services, architect core platforms, and drive scalability and performance across distributed systems.

The ideal candidate has 6+ years in backend engineering with strong skills in Java/Go/Scala, Kafka, cloud platforms, and both SQL and NoSQL data stores. Excellent communication and mentorship are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 6+ years of backend engineering experience with distributed systems.
• Proficient in Java, Go, or Scala.
• Deep knowledge of distributed systems concepts, CAP, replication.
• Experience with Kafka and high-throughput messaging.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• SQL and NoSQL data stores experience.
• Strong debugging and RCA skills.
• Excellent communication and mentorship abilities.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate large-scale backend services powering mission-critical workloads.
• Architect core platforms used by other engineering teams, ensuring scalability and reliability.
• Focus on performance, latency, and clean engineering practices.
• Mentor and guide engineers across teams, promoting best practices.
