Job summary

First Citizens Bank is seeking a Lead Software Engineer for Appian to drive design, development, and deployment of enterprise Appian applications. You will lead delivery teams, set technical direction, and ensure solution quality across the full software lifecycle.

The role requires strong Appian experience, hands-on development with SAIL and integration objects, and leadership of Agile teams. Remote role with priority for NC, AZ, TX, FL markets and potential incentives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree and 6 years of software development experience or 10 years with HS diploma.
• Expertise in Appian development, SAIL, Records, and integration objects.
• Experience leading Agile delivery teams and DevOps tooling.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, deployment, and support of Appian applications.
• Provide day-to-day technical direction and code leadership for delivery teams.
• Design scalable process models, interfaces, and integrations using Appian best practices.
• Develop Appian solutions with REST, SOAP, and database integrations.
• Perform code reviews and enforce standards, security and CI/CD practices.
• Mentor Appian developers and participate in architecture reviews.
