Job summary

First Citizens Bank serves as a remote role to lead the design, development, implementation, and support of enterprise Appian applications. You will act as the technical lead for delivery teams, providing hands-on development while establishing standards and mentoring across multiple groups.

The position demands deep Appian expertise (SAIL, Records, Process Models, Web APIs) and strong CI/CD, security, and integration experience across REST/SOAP and databases.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 6+ years of software development experience or a high school diploma with 10+ years.
• Hands-on Appian expertise and leadership of delivery teams.
• Experience with Appian SAIL, Records, Process Models, and Web APIs.
• Strong knowledge of CI/CD, DevOps, and security practices.
• Experience integrating Appian with REST and SOAP services and databases.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, deployment and support of enterprise Appian applications.
• Serve as technical lead for Appian delivery teams and provide day-to-day direction.
• Design scalable process models, interfaces, records, reports and integrations.
• Develop Appian solutions using SAIL, Records, Process Models, and Web APIs.
• Build and maintain integrations with REST, SOAP, and enterprise systems.
• Perform code reviews and enforce development standards and security.
• Troubleshoot production issues with root cause analysis and remediation.
• Lead release management activities including CI/CD and environment management.
• Collaborate with solution architects, business analysts, infrastructure, and security teams.
• Mentor Appian developers and establish development standards.
• Participate in architecture reviews, estimation and solution design.
• Support production apps with defect resolution and performance tuning.
