Job summary

Pacific Life in Charlotte, NC seeks an Appian Engineer to design, develop, and support enterprise workflow solutions enabling Executive Benefits capabilities. You will collaborate with product owners, analysts, architects, and operations to deliver scalable Appian applications.

The role requires 5+ years of hands-on Appian development, strong knowledge of Appian SAIL Interfaces, process models, record types, and integrations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
• 5+ years hands-on Appian development experience.
• Experience designing and building workflow applications using Appian.
• Strong understanding of Appian SAIL Interfaces, Process Models, Record Types, Expression Rules, Integrations and Web APIs, Security and App Configuration.
• Experience integrating Appian with enterprise applications, databases, and cloud services.
• Familiarity with SQL and relational data modeling.
• Experience in Agile development environments.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication and collaboration across business and tech teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy Appian solutions for workflow automation and modernization.
• Partner with product owners, analysts, architects, and developers to deliver scalable apps.
• Develop Appian UI, process models, record types, rules, and data structures.
• Build and support integrations with enterprise systems, databases, cloud platforms, and APIs.
• Participate in Agile delivery activities including design, estimation, sprints, testing, and releases.
• Troubleshoot issues and improve performance, reliability, and UX.
• Support platform upgrades and adoption of new Appian capabilities.
• Contribute to development standards, code reviews, and best practices.
