Job summary

Index Analytics, LLC, a Baltimore-based health analytics firm, seeks an experienced Team Lead (Analytics) to guide product requirements, analytics product development, and client-focused solutions. You will work with an Agile team to deliver scalable, customer-centered systems and mentor junior analysts in advanced data interpretation.

The role emphasizes policy research, data analysis, visualization, and statistical methods to advise federal clients and decision-makers.

Qualifications

• U.S. citizen or otherwise authorized to work in the United States.
• 8+ years of experience, including 4+ years supporting federal/state health agencies conducting health services research using Medicaid and CHIP data.
• Experience with data visualization and analytics to support policy making.
• Experience leading agile teams to deliver analytics products.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex analytics initiatives by planning and executing advanced, analytics-focused technical projects; developing sound experimental and scientific study designs; and overseeing high-quality data analysis and reporting outputs.
• Own and manage analytics product lifecycles by maintaining and prioritizing product backlogs across multiple analytics products, defining product vision, roadmaps, MVPs, and requirements, and incorporating stakeholder and customer feedback to drive value-based outcomes.
• Translate product vision into delivered solutions by clearly communicating requirements to developers, testers, and stakeholders; guiding implementation; and demonstrating product functionality to ensure alignment with business and scientific objectives.
• Produce and communicate high-quality analytical deliverables by preparing, reviewing, and approving complex reports, presentation materials, and draft manuscripts, and translating complex analytical findings for client, management, and scientific audiences through written and oral communications.
• Serve as a trusted technical advisor and collaborator by interfacing with client’s subject matter experts, data analysts, and internal teams to ensure smooth project execution, while providing expert guidance to management on technical and analytical considerations.
• Develop team capability and technical rigor by training and mentoring junior staff in advanced data interpretation, ensuring research methods and technical procedures are current and valid, and serving as a technical resource across the organization.
