Job summary

AMN Healthcare is seeking a Manager of Language Operations Services to lead a remote team of interpreters, ensuring performance, engagement, and continuous improvement across remote interpreting services.

The role reports to the Senior Manager, Language Operations in AMN Language Services and involves no routine travel, with emphasis on performance, policy compliance, and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree plus 2+ years of work experience or High School Diploma/GED plus 4+ years of work experience.
• National certification from RID, CCHI, or NBCMI required.
• If national interpreter certification is not available in the candidate's language, HUB-CMI or CoreCHI-P certification is required at minimum.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a certified interpreter required.
• Extensive knowledge of industry regulations, standards, and ethical guidelines required.

Responsibilities

• Review interpreter performance metrics and apply supervision, coaching, and corrective action strategies.
• Monitor interpreter schedule adherence, quality standards, training, policy compliance, and performance metrics.
• Document misconduct and disciplinary steps with appropriate records.
• Collaborate with Language Operations Leadership, HR, Training, and other partners to address needs.
• Identify gaps and route to the appropriate department for follow-up.
• Use data to identify improvement opportunities and support development plans.
• Foster a safe, engaging remote team culture via Teams, email, LMS, and leadership communication.
• Support interpreter retention with clear expectations and timely feedback.
• Stay current on industry trends and applicable standards in medical and remote interpreting.
• Model continuous learning and professional development in the department.
