Job summary

Center For Natural Lands Management, Inc. in California seeks a Land Acquisitions Project Manager to coordinate CNLM's conservation land acquisitions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or higher; master's or law degree preferred.
  • At least five years in land acquisition/real estate or related fields.
  • Excellent oral and written communications and ability to prepare detailed real estate documents.
  • Knowledge of real estate transactions including escrow closings, title, surveys, and permits; environ permitting preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all stages of acquisitions from initial landowner contact through escrow closing with CNLM staff.
  • Serve as main contact for landowners and permittees and support the acquisition process.
  • Initiate and schedule meetings with external parties and CNLM team.
  • Ensure policies and risk management through screening and documentation of opportunities; prepare contracts and proposals.
  • Prepare acquisitions-related documents using CNLM templates; modify as needed.
  • Conduct title review and property tax review, exemptions, district fees, and CC&R review; record documents.
  • Maintain project tracking system and records for CNLM acquisitions.
  • Prepare internal documents to inform the Board and obtain authorization for real estate transactions.
  • Fulfill other duties as assigned.
