Job summary

Junction is looking for an experienced operations leader to head Lab Operations in a remote-first environment based in the United States (EST timezone required). You will manage a distributed team, coach staff, and drive improvements to keep orders moving smoothly from order to result.

Qualifications

• 5+ years hiring and managing operations teams through growth.
• Ability to coach, delegate and build independent teams.
• Experience leading operations with cross-functional impact.

Responsibilities

• Manage and develop a distributed Lab Operations team across time zones.
• Plan capacity and staffing as order volume grows.
• Oversee day-to-day operation across lab result review and order investigations.
• Ensure SLAs, quality standards, and productivity targets are met.
• Maintain strong vendor relationships and streamlined day-to-day workflows.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Customer Success and Support for cross-functional fixes.
• Improve SOPs and workflows to scale operations and reduce manual effort.
• Identify recurring issues and drive automation with the Operations Systems & Tooling team.
