Job summary

LanguageLine Solutions LLC is seeking Khmer Video-Phone Interpreters to work from home in the United States. You will handle on-demand interpretation sessions between Khmer and English speakers across healthcare, government, insurance, finance, and more.

A quiet, secure home office is required. This remote role offers training, ongoing development, and advancement opportunities, with pay of $20–$23 per hour and benefits.

Qualifications

• Fluency in Khmer and English with cultural awareness.
• Ability to assess regional/accent differences for LEP communication.
• Excellent listening, retention and note-taking for accuracy.
• Remain neutral and professional on all calls, even sensitive topics.
• Reading/writing in Khmer and English is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Respond to video and audio interpreting sessions promptly.
• Participate in online, video and audio training sessions.
• Deliver interpretation services via video and type data on a device.
• Render meanings per interpretation protocol, avoiding additions/ omissions.
• Speak clearly in both languages with proper pronunciation and politeness.
• Maintain professional demeanor during sessions at all times.
• Stay calm during sessions, especially in emergencies like 911 calls.
• Maintain punctuality and availability during scheduled hours.
• Follow client instructions to meet LEP needs.
