Pearson is seeking a Learning Subject Matter Expert to develop and review K-12 assessment content and items for state and district clients. You will work with educators, departments, and partners to create standards-based assessments accessible to all students.

The role emphasizes AI-powered content development, collaboration with psychometricians, and staying current with new technologies. Some travel is required, and the position is remote.

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree in education, content-specific area, or equivalent experience.
• Five years’ experience as an elementary or secondary teacher in the field of content-specific area preferred.
• Professional knowledge of content-specific area and educational trends required.
• Experience or familiarity with prompting, refining, and evaluating AI-generated content for education purposes.
• Outstanding oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to adapt to new AI technologies.

Mansioni

• Develop and review content-specific test items across grade levels for large-scale assessments.
• Help develop item, passage, and test specifications, item development plans, test blueprints, and other ancillary documents.
• Leverage AI-powered tools to support development, review, and enhancement of assessment content with accessibility in mind.
• Collaborate with team members to integrate AI-generated assets in assessment workflows and provide feedback.
• Help select, assign, manage, and train item/passage writers and educators for item development.
• Facilitate and support customer meetings and provide content assessment expertise.
