Job summary

Hewlett Packard Enterprise is seeking a Remote Resident Networking Consultant to support service providers from home. You will troubleshoot equipment and network issues, gather design requirements, and deliver status updates to customers.

You will be a subject-matter expert on HPE Juniper platforms, requiring JUNOS CLI, MX/PTX/SRX experience, MPLS/VPN/DNS; automation with Ansible, YAML and Python; and excellent communication across engineering, operations and executive levels.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of design, implementation, and operational experience in large-scale IP networks.
• JUNOS CLI experience.
• Experience with MX, PTX, SRX, Apstra, ACX routing devices.
• IP service provider networking knowledge (TCP/IP, MPLS, OSPF, ISIS, BGP, MPLS-TE, RSVP, LDP, IPv6).
• VPNs and tunneling technologies (MPLS, L3VPN, VPLS, MVPN).
• Ethernet switching & 802.1Q, QoS.
• Automation with Ansible, YAML, PyEZ; Python scripting.
• Strong communication across all levels of an organization.
• Certifications: JNCIS/JNCIP/JNCIE/CCNP/CCIE are a strong plus.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot equipment and network problems and open JTAC cases for pre/post-production issues.
• Conduct information gathering workshops to understand customer network design and requirements.
• Produce written status reports on design projects, equipment, and network problems.
• Hold technology workshops to discuss issues and potential workarounds or solutions.
• Train customer staff to configure and operate HPE Juniper products.
• Assess network health and develop fault diagnosis procedures and operating procedures.
