Job summary

Haugland Group LLC, a Long Island, New York-based civil infrastructure and energy construction company, is seeking a Junior Trenchless Estimator to join our remote estimating team. The role will perform quantity takeoffs, develop cost estimates, obtain vendor pricing, and assist with bid preparation for trenchless projects.

Travel to project locations and site walks are required as needed. The position offers growth opportunities within our trenchless construction focus and requires proficiency

Qualifications

• 2+ years of estimating, engineering, or construction experience.
• Ability to read and interpret civil drawings, specifications, and geotechnical reports.
• Strong math, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.

Responsibilities

• Perform labor, equipment, material, and quantity takeoffs from plans, specs, and reports.
• Assist in preparing cost estimates and bid proposals for trenchless projects (HDD, tunneling, auger bore, microtunneling).
• Obtain and track vendor and subcontractor quotes; prepare RFQs.
• Organize estimate files, bid folders, and documentation; assist with bid schedules.
