Job summary

Delve Underground is seeking a Lead Cost Estimator based in North America to drive cost estimating on complex civil, structural, and tunnel projects. You will lead a team of project estimators and own the estimation process end-to-end.

This role requires deep field experience in heavy civil tunnels, a strong analytical mindset, and proficiency with estimating tools. You will collaborate with project teams to ensure accurate, competitive bids and help manage project risk.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years' direct field experience on heavy civil tunnel projects.
• 20+ years' experience in heavy civil tunnel projects preferred.
• Engineering or Construction Management degree required.
• Professional registration or certification, or ability to obtain within 1 year.
• Strong analytical and computer software skills.
• Experience with cost estimating and pricing.
• Experience with construction claims or change orders.
• Scheduling experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead cost estimating efforts on complex civil, structural and tunnel projects.
• Lead a group of project cost estimators.
• Perform and oversee cost estimating: conceptual estimates, production-based estimates, take-off and quotes, database maintenance.
• Occasional field visits to observe construction means/methods and crews.
• Provide QA review and collaborate on risk assessments.
