Job summary

1Password is seeking a Junior Engineer for its Application Security team. The role focuses on building and maintaining security tooling, including static and dynamic analysis, code scanning, and AI-powered solutions.

You will work with cross-functional partners to embed security into product development and SSDLC processes. The position offers remote work across the US and Canada, with a collaborative team, fast pace, and opportunities to influence security across the product suite.

Qualifications

• 0-2+ years of experience in software development.
• Passion and curiosity for security engineering (secure coding, pentesting, vulnerability analysis, security design).
• Experience leveraging agentic AI to accelerate security workflows and automate tasks.
• Experience with internal tool development and engineering enablement.
• Strong foundations in software development principles; able to read/write code.
• Able to work well in a team with diverse stakeholders.
• Adaptable and resilient in fast-paced environments with shifting priorities.

Responsibilities

• Work with a small Application Security team to minimize security risk across SSDLC.
• Collaborate with Security, Product Engineering, Marketing, CX and other teams on security parameters of new features.
• Design, build, and scale agentic AI capabilities to enable secure product development.
• Enhance and maintain security tools across static/dynamic analysis and code scanning.
• Develop dashboards and reporting metrics for security risk tailored to technical and leadership audiences.
