Job summary

1Password LLC is hiring a Junior Engineer for our Application Security team. This remote role within the United States and Canada focuses on building and maintaining security tooling, including static/dynamic analysis, code scanning, and agentic AI solutions to secure our products.

You will collaborate across Security, Product Engineering, Marketing, and CX, contributing to the Secure Software Development Lifecycle and threat modelling while growing in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 0-2+ years of experience in software development.
• Passion and curiosity for security engineering.
• Experience leveraging agentic AI capabilities to accelerate security workflows, automate repetitive tasks, or enhance detection and remediation efforts.
• Experience with internal tool development and engineering enablement.
• Strong foundational understanding of software development principles, comfortable reading and writing code.
• Works well in a team with clear communication across technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Adaptable and resilient in fast-paced environments with shifting priorities.

Responsibilities

• Work within a small team of Application Security Engineers focused on minimizing security risk across our SSDLC.
• Collaborate with Security, Product Engineering, Marketing, CX and others on security parameters of new features.
• Design, build, integrate and scale new agentic AI capabilities for secure product development.
• Enhance and maintain existing security tools (static/dynamic analysis, code scanning, etc.).
• Develop and maintain dashboards and reporting metrics around our security risk program for varied audiences.
