Job summary

System One is seeking a Junior Network Engineer for a 100% remote position in the United States. The role requires US citizenship and ability to obtain Public Trust clearance, with compensation at $40-45 per hour on a W-2 basis.

You will support Federal Agencies on data networks, configure Palo Alto firewalls, manage Cisco data networks, and monitor performance using SolarWinds. Strong routing, switching, and vendor tools experience are essential.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of data networks experience with routing protocols and switching tech.
• Experience with Cisco Prime, SolarWinds, SecureCRT, ServiceNow.
• Bachelor's degree in CS or related field.
• Experience supporting government contracts preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to internal teams and Federal Agency on data networks and security solutions.
• Manage, troubleshoot, and monitor data solutions leveraging Routing Protocols (OSPF/BGP) and Switching (Spanning Tree, VSS).
• Configure Palo Alto firewall rules and related protections.
• Manage data networks using Cisco product lines and monitor performance with SolarWinds.
• Respond to escalated incidents and collaborate with delivery/operations teams.
