Job summary

System One is seeking a Junior Network Engineer for a 100% remote position supporting government contracts. The role requires US citizenship and the ability to obtain Public Trust clearance, with a 6-8 week process. Compensation is $40-45/hr W2.

Responsibilities include supporting data networks for Federal Agencies, configuring firewalls, and managing Cisco-based environments. Strong routing, switching, and documentation skills are essential.

Qualifications

3+ years of experience in data networks with emphasis on routing protocols and switching technologies.
Experience with Cisco Prime, SolarWinds Engineers Toolset, SecureCRT, and ServiceNow.
Cisco platforms administration, maintenance, and installation.
Understanding of firewall rules configuration.
Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Experience with cloud providers is a plus.
Professional certifications such as CCENT/CCNA/CCNP preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide support to internal teams and Federal Agency on data networks and security solutions.
Manage, troubleshoot, and monitor data solutions leveraging routing protocols and switching technologies.
Configure Palo Alto firewall rules and related features.
Maintain data networks using Cisco product lines and monitor performance with SolarWinds.
Respond to escalated incidents and incidents with Delivery/Operations teams.
Document technical and process information; update runbooks.
