Job summary

VetsEZ is seeking a Junior Software Engineer – Security Release Engineering for a 100% remote role supporting a large federal government healthcare modernization project. You will build automation, integrations, APIs, and secure delivery tooling to strengthen software supply chain security and streamline release and compliance activities.

You will work across DevSecOps, GitOps, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms (Azure, AWS), collaborating with software engineers, platform teams, and cybersecurity

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a technical field.
• Experience with JavaScript and Python.
• Working knowledge of Kubernetes and Terraform IaC.
• Understanding of Secure SDLC and DevSecOps.
• Strong problem-solving and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Build automation and tooling for security release processes.
• Develop integrations across platforms, CI/CD, and security tools.
• Create APIs, scripts, and automation services to reduce manual work.
• Implement GitOps workflows for Kubernetes deployments.
• Support secure delivery, compliance validation, and release readiness.
• Troubleshoot issues across CI/CD and security pipelines.
