Qualifications

• A high school diploma or equivalent is required; a bachelor's is preferred.
• Minimum of five years of relevant software development experience.
• Hands-on Java software development at an enterprise level.
• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming and design patterns.
• Knowledge of cloud computing technologies and current trends.
• Experience developing RESTful microservices with Spring Boot.
• Experience with distributed systems and version control.
• Proficiency in Linux and data architecture concepts.
• Experience debugging production issues; strong problem solving.
• Ability to guide teammates and foster a collaborative, high-quality environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, and time management.
• Willingness to work flexible hours and maintain confidentiality.
• Knowledge of modern collaboration tools (MS Teams, Slack).

Responsibilities

• Improve scalability, stability, accuracy, speed, and efficiency of data systems.
• Design, build, test, document, and deploy new libraries and full systems for core platforms.
• Collaborate with engineers and product owners to automate large-scale data tasks.
• Implement security and data protection practices.
• Participate in Scrum ceremonies and code reviews.
• Contribute to SDLC planning, estimation, retrospectives, and demos.
• Assist teammates and share processes to drive quality and results.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
