Job summary

Bright Vision Technologies is seeking a seasoned Java Developer with Windchill expertise for remote work in the U.S. You will implement deep Windchill customizations, work with PTC APIs, and extend the platform while keeping upgrade-friendly patterns.

The role requires strong Java fundamentals, knowledge of Windchill internals, and disciplined engineering practices. You'll collaborate across product, design, engineering and operations to translate complex requirements into robust solutions,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• 5+ years of Java development experience with Windchill customization.
• Deep experience with Windchill Java API and customization frameworks.
• Strong understanding of Windchill data model, lifecycle, and workflow internals.
• Strong Java OO design and performance-engineering skills.
• Experience with JSP, HTML, and Windchill client-side customization.
• Hands-on experience with TAM.
• Strong SQL skills with Oracle or SQL Server.
• Experience supporting Windchill upgrades.
• Excellent troubleshooting and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop advanced Java Windchill customizations.
• Extend data model with custom types and TAM.
• Build JSP/HTML extensions and UI components.
• Develop asynchronous Windchill tasks and queues.
• Optimize performance with profiling and caching.
• Lead migration to modern patterns with safe rollouts.
• Conduct code reviews and enforce engineering standards.
• Collaborate with consultants to translate requirements.
• Provide post-go-live support and triage incidents.
• Maintain up-to-date technical documentation.
• Mentor junior engineers through reviews and pairing.
