Job summary

Bright Vision Technologies is seeking a highly experienced Windchill Technical Developer to design, develop, and support enterprise PLM solutions built on PTC Windchill. You will lead advanced Java customizations, data-model extensions, and UI enhancements, balancing hands-on coding with technical leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical discipline.
• 10+ years of professional Java development experience with Windchill customization and platform development.
• Expert-level Windchill Java API knowledge and customization frameworks.
• Deep Windchill architecture, data model, lifecycle management, workflow engine, and object model understanding.
• Strong Java, OO design, multithreading, and enterprise software development expertise.
• Experience with JSP, HTML, JavaScript, and Windchill client-side customization.
• Hands-on TAM, OIRs, lifecycle templates, and workflow customization.
• Strong SQL skills with Oracle or SQL Server.
• Experience supporting Windchill upgrades, migrations, and performance optimization.
• Excellent troubleshooting, documentation, collaboration, and technical leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain advanced Java customizations within PTC Windchill, including services, listeners, processors, validators, helpers, and business logic extensions.
• Extend Windchill data model by implementing custom object types, attributes, relationships, and metadata (TAM).
• Develop custom UI components using JSP, HTML, JavaScript, and Windchill UI extensions.
• Build asynchronous processing with Windchill queues, background processors, and scheduled tasks.
• Design and implement complex workflow expressions, robot delegates, and lifecycle automation.
• Optimize performance through profiling, query optimization, caching, and JVM tuning.
• Ensure customizations follow PTC-supported development practices and enable upgrades.
• Lead modernization by migrating legacy code to supported Windchill frameworks.
• Perform architecture and code reviews to maintain quality and scalability.
• Collaborate with consultants, architects, and stakeholders to translate requirements into robust solutions.
• Provide production support, root cause analysis, and long-term platform stability.
• Create technical documentation, runbooks, coding standards, and design specs.
• Mentor teams through code reviews and knowledge-sharing.
