Qualifications

• CPC/CIC/CCS certification required.
• Minimum 5 years hands-on interventional radiology coding experience.
• Strong knowledge of NCCI edits, bundling rules and IVR modifier logic.
• Experience with EHR/coding platforms (3M, EPIC, Cerner).
• Reliable internet connection and a dedicated remote workspace.
• Excellent attention to detail and documentation review skills.

Responsibilities

• Code CPT, ICD-10-CM, and HCPCS for interventional radiology procedures.
• Apply modifiers (26/TC, 59/XS/XU, LT/RT/50) per NCCI/MUE guidelines.
• Review physician documentation and generate coding queries as needed.
• Ensure compliance with CMS, AMA, and payer-specific guidelines.
• Collaborate with billing to resolve denials and support appeals.
• Stay current with annual CPT/ICD-10 updates relevant to IVR.
