Job summary

Blue Mantis is seeking an IT Technician to join our growing team. The role supports clients remotely and onsite, handling hardware/software issues, tickets, and project migrations with a strong emphasis on customer service and patience.

You will troubleshoot across Windows and Mac, plus server platforms, and participate in migrations to cloud services. A valid vehicle for travel and CSRs/IIS setup experience are beneficial for success in this hybrid posting.

Qualifications

3-5 years IT experience supporting end users remotely or onsite.
Related industry certifications preferred (A+, MCSE, MCSA, CCNA, etc).
Experience supporting HP, Dell, Intel, or Lenovo client and server hardware.
Experience with Windows 10/11 and Windows Server 2012–2022.
Experience with virtualization such as Hyper-V and VMware ESXi.
Strong knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP.
Networking knowledge including switches, VLANs, routing; firewall support including WatchGuard, SonicWALL, Cisco, Fortinet FortiGate.
Microsoft 365 Administration
Experience managing wireless access points.
Minimum of 1 year of customer service or office support.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot hardware/software issues on Windows client OS, MAC, and Windows Server OS.
Manage help desk requests by phone, email, or chat; document all support requests and resolutions in a ticketing system.
Manage complex projects including on-prem to cloud conversions (Exchange to O365, server virtualization and migration to the cloud).
Have a reliable vehicle to travel to customer locations for onsite visits; mileage reimbursement provided.
Generate CSRs and private keys; install and configure on IIS web servers.
