Job summary

Per Scholas is seeking an Instructional Assistant to support the Remote Training Team. You will help train learners to become entry-level technicians, assisting instructors and managing classroom operations.

Qualifications

• Ability to teach in a highly interactive and hands-on style.
• Strong communication and collaboration with instructors and learners.
• Adaptability to changes in class schedules and materials.

Responsibilities

• Assist and collaborate with the instructor to teach and administer the class.
• Grade and review assessments, class projects, and other materials.
• Enter learner grades into Learning Management Systems and grading templates.
• Update Salesforce data as necessary.
• Review curriculum materials weekly and report errors to instructor and curriculum team.
• Assist instructor with daily agenda preparation for students.
• Schedule time with instructor and learners to discuss challenges.
• Manage learner common areas and tech supply inventory.
• Monitor classroom tech, audio, video, and overall functionality.
• Act as class timekeeper and monitor breaks and scheduling.
• Monitor students during tests and group activities.
• Maintain classroom and tech equipment cleanliness.
