Job summary

Per Scholas is seeking an IT Support Instructional Assistant to join the Remote Training Team. You will support the lead instructor in a dynamic classroom setting and help manage administrative and classroom tasks as learners develop entry-level technical skills.

The role emphasizes hands-on teaching, collaboration with the curriculum team, and ongoing learning. This remote position requires flexibility and a passion for empowering students nationwide.

Qualifications

• CompTIA A+ certification required.
• Ability to teach in an interactive, hands-on style.
• Passion for teaching others and continuous improvement.
• Flexibility to adapt to schedule changes.
• Team-oriented and responsive communicator.
• Teaching experience is a plus.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Assist lead instructor in class and admin tasks.
• Grade and review assessments and projects.
• Enter learner grades into LMS and grading templates.
• Update Salesforce data as needed.
• Review curriculum materials weekly for errors.
• Prepare daily student agendas with instructor.
• Schedule meetings with instructor and learners to discuss challenges.
• Manage learner areas and tech supply inventory.
• Attend weekly team meetings with updates.
• Monitor class functionality during instruction.
• Act as class timekeeper and monitor breaks and schedules.
• Monitor students during tests and group activities.
• Maintain classroom cleanliness and equipment.
