Job summary

SIXGEN is a small, mission-focused IT firm seeking an IT professional to support federal customers. The role emphasizes flexible, remote-friendly policy, with 2–3 days in the Sterling office and 2 days WFH.

You’ll join a seasoned team of IT specialists, tackling diverse tasks from server admin to end-user support. Key responsibilities include deploying secure IT environments, scripting automation, and collaborating across engineering and admin teams.

Qualifications

• Experience in Linux administration, deployment, maintenance across multiple distributions.
• Experience architecting sensitive, classified, and/or isolated development systems and enclaves.
• Familiarity with encryption and PKI concepts and tools including PGP, step-ca, and full-disk encryption.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and support engineering, development, and corporate IT environments.
• Provide creative technical solutions to unique problems.
• Respond to quickly emerging technical requirements and deadlines; enable team productivity.
