Job summary

SIXGEN is seeking an I.T. Specialist to join a skilled team supporting federal customers. The role emphasizes Linux administration, virtualization, and secure IT infrastructure across development and production environments.

The candidate will work on a hybrid schedule (2-3 days in office, 2 days WFH) and must be comfortable with after-hours maintenance and 24/7 response as needed. A TS clearance is required.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of IT experience.
• Experience architecting sensitive, classified, and/or isolated development systems.
• Clearance TS is required.
• Strong scripting skills in Bash, Python, or PowerShell.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and support engineering, development, and corporate IT environments.
• Collaborate with engineering and IT teams to implement systems and solutions.
• Communicate effectively with vendors, customers, and colleagues.
• Respond to quickly emerging technical requirements and deadlines.
• Provide ongoing maintenance and professional development of IT infrastructure.
