Job summary

SIXGEN seeks a experienced Red Team Operator & Infrastructure SME to advance cybersecurity missions for government and critical infrastructure. This full-time, remote role requires weekly on-site presence in DC and hands-on offensive testing with clear, actionable reporting.

You will conduct recon, exploitation, and post-exploitation activities, develop evasive payloads, mentor junior operators, and collaborate with blue/purple teams to strengthen detection and response capabilities, while

Qualifications

• Minimum 4+ years hands-on red team or government offensive cyber operations experience.
• 2+ years leading red team engagements (non-overlapping).
• 2+ years mentoring junior operators in red team tradecraft and reports/executive briefings.

Responsibilities

• Simulate real-world cyberattacks to test security controls and incident response.
• Conduct recon, exploitation, and post-exploitation activities using TTPs.
• Develop and use custom tools and methods to evade detection and maintain stealth.
• Collaborate with blue and purple teams to improve detection, response, and security posture.
• Document findings and deliver actionable reports to technical and executive stakeholders.
• Develop, automate and deploy red team infrastructure.
• Secure infrastructure from unauthorized access and various TTPs.
