Job summary

Toppan Merrill is seeking an IT Sourcing & Procurement Category Manager to lead IT category strategies, supplier relationships, and value creation. You will drive cost optimization, contract negotiations, and governance in collaboration with IT, Finance, Legal, Security, and business leaders.

The role covers software, cloud, hardware, telecom, cybersecurity, and IT services with a focus on strategic sourcing best practices and executive reporting. Remote work in MN is supported.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years in strategic sourcing, category management, or procurement focused on IT.
• Experience sourcing and negotiating for software, SaaS, cloud, hardware, cybersecurity, and IT services.
• Strong understanding of software licensing, cloud contracts, vendor management, and tech procurement best practices.
• Proven ability to influence stakeholders and manage complex sourcing initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute IT sourcing and category management strategies.
• Analyze spend, market trends, supplier capabilities, and requirements to identify opportunities.
• Lead RFIs, RFPs, RFQs, evaluations, negotiations, and supplier selections.
• Advise IT leadership on procurement strategies, contracts, and vendor performance.
• Partner with IT, Finance, Legal, Security, and business units to align procurement with priorities and compliance.
• Negotiate complex contracts, pricing, licenses, and SLAs to optimize outcomes.
• Manage supplier relationships and governance, monitor performance and risk.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning with market intelligence.
• Identify cost savings, avoidance, and value across the IT spend portfolio.
• Develop category roadmaps and supplier performance metrics.
