Job summary

Dahl Consulting is seeking a Service Desk Representative to join the internal technology support team. This remote MT-based contract role provides hands-on troubleshooting for employees, resolving a wide range of hardware, software, and connectivity issues.

You will be the first line of contact, using phone, email, chat, and remote tools, with two weeks of training provided. This position emphasizes customer service and technical growth within a renewable energy client environment.

Qualifications

• Prior experience providing technical support and troubleshooting end-user technology issues.
• CompTIA certification or equivalent technical certification.
• Experience working with Google Workspace in a corporate environment.
• Intermediate knowledge of troubleshooting methodologies and problem-solving techniques.
• Experience supporting Windows operating systems and native Windows applications.
• Experience troubleshooting iOS devices and mobile applications.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory, Group Policy (GPO), and networking concepts including DNS and DHCP.
• Experience supporting conferencing technologies, audio/video equipment, and VoIP solutions.
• Ability to remain seated for extended periods while working at a computer workstation.
• Ability to use a computer, keyboard, telephone, and standard office equipment throughout the workday.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to employees via phone, email, chat, and remote channels.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, OS, and connectivity issues.
• Use support tools and documentation to identify root causes and solutions.
• Perform issue analysis, troubleshooting, and data collection; escalate when needed.
• Fulfill service requests per SLAs and procedures.
• Maintain detailed documentation of issues and resolutions.
• Communicate clearly with employees across departments and skill levels.
• Collaborate with technology teams to improve employee tech experience.
• Follow security policies to safeguard systems and data.
