Job summary

Cognizant is seeking an IT Program Manager to lead client engagements and service delivery for IT and business process services. The role centers on guiding global teams, managing governance, and delivering measurable business outcomes while building trusted client relationships.

The position is remote within the United States, with emphasis on governance, financial oversight, and stakeholder communication. A strong track record in program management and leadership is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 15 years of experience in IT services, business process services, or technology consulting environments.
• 5 years of program management experience leading complex global delivery engagements.
• Experience managing offshore delivery teams, including teams based in India.
• Proven success managing executive client relationships and stakeholder communications.
• Strong experience with program governance, service delivery management, financial oversight, and operational performance management.
• Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact for client stakeholders, building trusted relationships and ensuring alignment with business objectives.
• Lead large-scale IT and business process services programs, ensuring successful delivery against scope, schedule, budget, quality, and SLA commitments.
• Drive governance activities, including executive reviews, steering committee meetings, operational reviews, and program status reporting.
• Partner with global delivery teams to ensure service excellence, operational efficiency, and continuous improvement.
• Manage program risks, issues, dependencies, and escalations while ensuring timely resolution.
• Oversee financial performance, including forecasting, resource utilization, revenue, and margin management.
• Identify opportunities for process optimization, automation, and service expansion that create business value for clients.
• Lead cross-functional teams and foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and delivery excellence.
