Job summary

Cepheid, a Danaher operating company, seeks a Senior IT Portfolio & Governance Lead to drive IT portfolio management, demand intake, prioritization, and governance across the IT organization. Remote in the USA.

You will partner with project managers and business stakeholders, maintain data integrity, develop PMO tools, and mentor teams to ensure consistent, informed decision making. This role offers exposure within a leading diagnostics company and a flexible remote work arrangement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
• 5+ years supporting PMO operations and portfolio management.
• Experience with IT governance, dashboards, and executive presentations.
• Strong analytical and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365 tools.

Responsibilities

• Support and improve IT portfolio governance processes, including demand intake, prioritization, portfolio reviews, reporting activities, governance administration, and evaluation of initiatives against established business priorities and capacity constraints.
• Maintain portfolio data integrity and governance visibility by supporting adherence to governance standards, preparing portfolio reports, dashboards, metrics, and analytics, and facilitating governance discussions, decision‑making, and continuous improvement activities.
• Support PMO process adoption and operational excellence through continuous improvement of PMO processes, tools, operating procedures, governance practices, stakeholder engagement, and communication initiatives that promote awareness and understanding of PMO services and standards.
• Develop and maintain PMO tools, templates, and knowledge assets, including governance artifacts, demand and portfolio management templates, project lifecycle documentation, knowledge repositories, and project information used in governance reviews, while ensuring consistency and accuracy across project repositories.
• Provide guidance, training, and support to project managers, resource managers, and project teams on PMO processes, tools, templates, methodologies, portfolio management practices, and governance requirements.
