Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking an IT Internship student to join our HRIS/IT team for summer 2027. You will learn IT operations, support, and configuration while supporting analysts and users across the enterprise.

The role is remote, 40 hours/week, with eligibility limited to listed states; enrollment as a junior or senior is required, and Excel proficiency is preferred. This paid internship offers hands-on experience and mentorship.

Qualifications

• Current enrollment as junior or senior at an accredited college or university.
• GPA of at least 2.5.
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask.
• Proficiency with Excel.

Responsibilities

• IT intern may research unusual bugs or issues.
• IT intern supports IT team in maintenance of hardware, software and systems.
• Assist with software updates and backups as requested.
• Assist in evaluating hosting options and pricing and reporting to supervisors.
• Assist with call tracking system and KPI documentation.
