Job summary

Johanson Group LLP is seeking an IT / SOC Audit Associate to deliver a full range of attest services across SOC 1 and 2 engagements, HIPAA, GDPR, and NIST readiness projects. The role involves working with client teams to assess controls, test IT processes, and manage multiple engagements in a remote setting.

Ideal candidates have 1–3 years in public accounting or internal audit, familiarity with SOC 2/1, NIST 800-53, HIPAA, GDPR, and professional certifications such as CISA/CISSP preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, information systems, or related field.
• Experience in IT general controls and application control reviews.
• Public accounting or internal audit experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver full range of attest services for SOC 1 and SOC 2 engagements.
• Manage multiple client engagements from start to finish with minimal supervision.
• Evaluate client IT controls and identify risk, control gaps, and improvements.
• Coordinate with offshore/remote team members and client personnel to meet deadlines.
• Promote ethical, risk-aware culture and professional standards.
