Job summary

Insight Assurance is seeking a Senior IT/GRC Auditor to lead SOC 2 and IT compliance engagements from a fully remote position available to residents of Japan. You will guide staff, engage with clients, and drive high‑quality audits and readiness assessments.

Requirements include 3–4 years of IT audit experience with ITGC and application controls, strong SOC 2 knowledge, a relevant bachelor’s degree, and bilingual English/Japanese. Experience with GRC tools and cloud environments is preferred.

Qualifications

• 3–4 years of IT audits focusing on ITGC and application controls.
• Strong knowledge of SOC 2 and related frameworks.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, MIS, Cybersecurity, or related field.
• Strong client communication and project management skills.
• Bilingual English and Japanese required.

Responsibilities

• Lead ITGC and application control testing efforts.
• Guide and review work by junior team members.
• Perform walkthroughs, testing, and documentation for SOC 2, SOC 1, and HIPAA engagements.
• Identify control gaps and provide remediation recommendations.
• Maintain strong client relationships with clear and proactive communication.
• Ensure timely progress updates and escalate issues to management.
