Job summary

RSM US LLP seeks an experienced IT Audit professional to support a large global banking institution's regulatory remediation and Financial Crimes technology initiatives. This temporary engagement requires an independent auditor who can quickly assess risk, develop testing strategies, and execute complex audit procedures with minimal oversight.

The selected resource will support stakeholders across EMEA and APAC and must reside on the East Coast or be willing to work East Coast business hours.

Qualifications

• 8+ years IT Audit experience in large global banking institutions.
• Strong experience supporting regulatory remediation and risk management initiatives.
• Deep AML and Financial Crimes tech auditing experience including Transaction Monitoring, Sanctions Screening, KYC/CDD.
• Experience auditing SDLC, Change Management, system configurations, and application controls.
• Experience evaluating data lineage, interfaces, data quality controls.
• Strong controls testing, risk assessment, and substantive testing experience.
• Proven ability to lead and execute audit testing independently.
• Experience reviewing technical docs, system architecture, data flows, and code.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to support stakeholders across EMEA and APAC time zones.

Responsibilities

• Assess remediation activities to address technology, risk, and control findings.
• Develop and execute risk-based testing strategies to evaluate control design and operating effectiveness.
• Perform IT audit testing across governance, SDLC, Change Management, and data controls.
• Evaluate AML/Financial Crimes tech environments and related control frameworks.
• Review system configurations, docs, data flows, interfaces to identify risk and validate remediation.
• Conduct targeted testing and deep-dive reviews of complex tech control environments.
• Identify root causes and provide actionable recommendations.
• Prepare clear audit documentation and communicate findings to stakeholders.
