Job summary

Bexar County is seeking an Asset Management Specialist I to support the Information Technology team. The role requires handling hardware/software assets, processing IT purchases, and maintaining inventories. Flexibility for telework arrangements is noted.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited college or university with a relevant degree
• 1-3 years of experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Good knowledge of office procedures and Microsoft Office tools
• Ability to communicate complex ideas clearly across departments
• Demonstrates technological intuitiveness and reliability

Responsibilities

• Maintain control/inventory of County hardware and software assets
• Manage asset database including receipt, disbursement, warranty, location and transfer
• Process IT purchase requests and monitor requisitions for timely PO processing
• Process invoices and resolve discrepancies
• Perform physical inventories and update inventory records
• Prepare reports on IT expenditures and work products
• Assist management with performance metrics and reporting
