Job summary

Team Carney is seeking an experienced Instructional Systems Designer to support the FDIC Corporate University Course Maintenance Program. You will update and modernize courseware across ILT, VILT, WBT, and multimedia while ensuring accessibility and CU standards.

Remote within the U.S. with quarterly travel to the Dallas area. Five years of instructional design experience and proficiency with Word, PowerPoint, and Excel are required, plus tools like Lectora and Camtasia.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Instructional Design, or related field.
• Minimum of five years of professional instructional design experience.
• DHS Trusted Tester training or certification preferred or able to meet requirements.
• Strong skills in technical writing and converting legacy materials for modern formats.
• Experience with web-based course development and multimedia integration.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, revise, and modernize a catalogue of courses and collateral.
• Update materials across ILT, VILT, WBT, video, and job aids.
• Ensure alignment with CU design standards and Section 508 accessibility.
• Develop asynchronous WBT using approved templates and tools like Lectora.
• Collaborate with SMEs and project managers to update content and assets.
