Zusammenfassung

Life360 is seeking a business-oriented IP attorney to join our in-house Legal team. You will manage patent and trademark portfolios, work with outside counsel, and advise on open source and transactional IP matters across our consumer software and hardware lines, including Tile and Pet GPS.

You’ll partner with Finance, Product, Privacy, Engineering, and Marketing to align legal guidance with business priorities, support M&A reviews, and review promotional materials for IP compliance.

Qualifikationen

• J.D. from an accredited US law school and admission to at least one state bar; undergrad tech degree is a plus.
• At least 5 years of legal experience at a national/regional law firm with strong patent prosecution focus; trademark prosecution a plus.
• Demonstrated IP counseling background (trademark, patent, open source).
• Experience/delight in drafting, revising, negotiating complex IP-related contracts.
• Interest in using AI-powered tools to improve efficiency.
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Detail-oriented, able to prioritize in a fast-paced environment.

Aufgaben

• Manage and develop Life360's patent portfolio with outside counsel.
• Manage and develop trademark portfolio and prosecution efforts.
• Advise on transactional IP matters including licenses and portfolio strategy.
• Draft, review, and negotiate agreements involving IP.
• Provide guidance on open source licenses.
• Assist in IP aspects of corporate transactions and product development.
• Review social media marketing for IP compliance.
• Support due diligence by identifying IP risks.
