Job summary

YO AI Labs seeks an experienced Intellectual Property Counsel to support a cutting-edge AI project on a part-time, remote basis. You will draft and negotiate technology contracts, review MSAs/NDAs/DPAs, and provide practical guidance on IP risk in fast-paced product development.

You bring a J.D. from an ABA-accredited school, active U.S. bar admission, 3+ years in technology transactions, and a proven ability to translate legal analysis into actionable feedback for AI systems.

Qualifications

J.D. from ABA-accredited law school.
Active bar admission in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
3+ years of counsel experience focused on technology transactions.
Strong experience negotiating MSAs, NDAs, DPAs, and related commercial agreements.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
Strong analytical ability and attention to detail.
Ability to translate legal expertise into clear, actionable feedback for AI systems.
Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams in fast-paced environments.

Responsibilities

Perform simulated contract drafting, negotiation, and redlining exercises.
Review and evaluate AI responses to contract and negotiation scenarios.
Provide precise legal feedback to improve AI accuracy and reasoning.
Develop objective evaluation frameworks, playbooks, and grading criteria for contract-related tasks.
Collaborate with product and research teams to refine legal guidelines, datasets, and best practices.
Assess contractual risks and provide practical recommendations based on technology transaction experience.
