TEKsystems is seeking multiple Remote IP Core Network Engineers to provide core network monitoring and support for our Alaska-based ISP.

Position Type: Contract to hire, 100% remote

Job Description:

The role involves providing expertise and support for the local area IP Core Network, including complex client-server environments. Responsibilities include operational monitoring, support, analysis, systems administration, and maintaining network configurations. The engineer will install, configure, troubleshoot, and support the organization's core network, including systems, applications, security, and network hardware.

Key responsibilities include:

• Maintaining the company's systems, wireless data/IP, and core network environment.
• Providing technical support for incident resolution, including a growing 5G network.
• Performing configuration, troubleshooting, and performance tuning of routers and switches from Nokia, Cisco, Brocade, and Juniper.
• Managing network resources, reviewing utilization, creating documentation, and performing daily operational checks.
• Supporting network upgrades, customer communication, and ensuring network availability.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Ability to handle moderate stress with excellent interpersonal skills.
• Experience managing large network platforms and familiarity with tools like Visio, SNMP, Remedy, and Cisco Prime.
• Understanding of WAN concepts, security measures, and network management best practices.

Certifications:

Preferred certifications include Cisco CCNA, CCNP, Nokia NRS-I/II, SCTE DEP, among others.

Workplace & Compensation:

This is a fully remote position with a pay range of $50.00 - $65.00/hr. Benefits include health coverage, 401(k), life insurance, disability, HSA, transportation benefits, PTO, and more.
